On June 29, Marques Brownlee AKA. MKBHD posted a picture of the OnePlus 6 on his Instagram without any caption. Whats interesting about the post is that behind the Midnight Black variant of the phone is a red phone which looks like the OnePlus 6, complete with the power the silent switch on the left side.
Similar to the OnePlus 5T which also came with a red variant which they called Lava Red, it looks like the OnePlus 6 is also getting a red variant. However, the red on the OnePlus 6 does not look like the Lava Red on the OnePlus 5T, it looks like a different more vibrant red colour. After Marques Brownlee posted the image on his Instagram, OnePlus release a teaser on the red variant of OnePlus 6 in one of the cooler teaser trailer a phone company has released.
The trailer shows a mysterious figure holding a vile with a red crystal inside, obvious showmanship from the company to build the hype for their red variant of the OnePlus 6. The video ends with a date, July 2, which obviously points to the release of the new colour. We can expect smartphone retailers bringing in this colour as soon as it launches.
