Land Rover introduces 5th Gen Range Rover L460, prices start at RM2.488M

Jaguar Land Rover Malaysia has unveiled the 5th Generation Range Rover L460, it continues to offer the very best of a luxury SUV while sparing no compromises in design and performance.

Built on the automaker’s all-new flexible Modular Longitudinal Architecture (MLA-Flex), the Range Rover L460 features a distinctive design that sees a strong sculpted body with flush elements, complete with the first of its kind hidden-until-lit tail lamps that lights up in a sequential manner when you step on the brakes, it certainly looks like a car that’s years ahead of its time.

Under the hood, the Range Rover L460 is powered by a 4.4-litre V8 engine that produces 530PS and 730Nm, it is mated to an eight-speed automatic transmission with twin-speed transmission for better low-speed control in off-road situations, while despite its huge sized body, this gentlemen could do 0-100KM in a mere 4.6 seconds.

Inside the Range Rover L460, you get a spacious 5-seat configuration with semi-aniline leather seat upholstery, while the tech side of things will definitely make the geeky rich man impressed, you get a 13.1-inch curved floating glass touchscreen that’s equipped with the Pivi Pro infotainment system and a 1600W Meridian sound system, a 13.7-inch interactive driver display, two 11.4-inch high-definition screens that receives two HDMI inputs and supports wireless mirroring, and most impressively, an in-cabin Active Noise Cancellation feature that uses the car’s accelerometers and microphones outside of the vehicle to cancel outside noise and vibration through the sound system.

Safety features of the Range Rover L460 are top notch as well, which includes a ClearSight Ground View with a 3D Surround Camera to enable drivers to effectively see ‘through the bonnet’ with maneuvering lights to assist drivers in tight spots, a next-gen Electronic Air Suspension to automatically lower the ride height when cruising above 105km/h, and standard all-wheel steering with a tight turning circle kerb-to-kerb of less than 11m.

The Range Rover L460 is now available at a starting price of RM1,268,000 for duty-free, while you will need to pay more than double the price at RM2,488,000 that includes duty, customers will of course have a range of customizations including a Rear Seat Entertainment package, trim finishes, upholstery colors and 23-inch wheels, the vehicle is covered by a five-year warranty, five years of free service and three years of roadside assistance.
