CES 2016: ASUS unveils the world's first monitor with a single USB Type-C port

Hoping that your USB Type C devices have more peripherals to pair with? ASUS has just unveiled its first ever monitor that comes with a single USB Type C input, hence users who own devices such as the new Macbook finally have something to rejoice. The ASUS MB169C+ monitor has a rather small 15.6-inch panel and a 1080p resolution, so we are going to expect this product to be made for road warriors who needed a portable extended display on the go, the monitor is technically an upgrade from the older MB168B+ two year back and ASUS has fitted an IPS panel on the MB169C+, which users can expect the monitor to perform great in various lighting conditions.

The design of the monitor sure looks inspired from the company’s Zenbook by telling from its circular spin design language on its chassis, and from pictures alone it looks like a tablet rather than a portable monitor, fortunately the monitor weighs reasonably well at 800grams with 8.5mm of thickness and it will just feel like an extra huge tablet in your bag. ASUS has given a statement to Engadget that its new USB Type C monitor will work with a majority of devices with USB Type C, it could also well replace the older model and priced at $290 (RM1263).
