Alcatel OneTouch Idol 4 Pro to run Windows 10

Windows 10 Mobile has been increasingly adopted by upcoming smartphones, raising up the competition with Microsoft’s own Lumia 950 and Lumia 950 XL. We have news that the Alcatel OneTouch Idol 4 Pro will be running Windows rather than Android.

But of course, the Idol 4 and Idol 4S will still be on Android, leaving the Pro version to experiment with Windows 10. The Idol 4 Pro is also reported to receive an upgrade to the all powerhouse of a Snapdragon 820  processor, the same chip which is to be featured in most of the flagship devices to be launched this year.

Diving back into Windows 10, the Idol 4 Pro will be getting Continuum support and Display Dock PC convertibility. The device is tipped to sport a standard 1080p screen instead of a 2K display.

The release date of the Alcatel OneTouch Idol Pro 4 still remains a mystery. Whether or not the device will unveil itself at MWC remains to be seen. So stay tuned!
