ZTE Malaysia launches the Axon 7 smartphone, retails at RM1,999

While ZTE has unveiled its powerful nubia Z11 smartphone at IFA Berlin, the long anticipated flagship Axon 7 has made its official debut here today, the Axon 7 is the most premium smartphone ever released and challenges the flagship range with powerful specs sheet. The Axon 7 is powered by a Snapdragon 820 chipset mated to 4GB of RAM, it has 64GB of UFS 2.0 flash memory that can be expanded via a micro SD card up to 128GB. In other hardware aspects, the phone features a 5.5-inch Quad HD AMOLED display with a 2.5D curved glass protected by Corning Gorilla Glass 4, it sports an impressive optical and electronic stabilised 20-megapixel main shooter with a fast f/1.8 aperture that takes 240FPS HD slow motion videos, the selfie shooter takes 8-megapixel stills with a f/2.2 aperture while a 3250mAh battery powers the device with Qualcomm’s Quick Charge 3.0 support.

As you would expect from a flagship smartphone today, the ZTE Axon 7 features an all metal unibody design that measures as thin as 7.9mm. The phone’s design, as ZTE claims, is an integrated result of an technical expertise and creative input from both ZTE and BMW’s global design consultancy, Designworks. What’s really badass about the Axon 7 would be its dual front facing speakers, which takes on the design of HTC’s famous BoomSound speakers and features Dolby ATMOS and Dolby Digital Surround sound, there’s also built-in AK4961 and AK4490 audio processors that offers up to 32-bit Hi-Fi playback and recording.

In conjunction with the launch of the Axon 7, ZTE Malaysia will be conducting a roadshow tour of the device called the ZTE Tour, which is a mobile truck that will tour around residential areas, shopping malls, colleges and universities in more than 10 cities to offer customers a chance to get a hands on with the Axon 7, locations of the mobile truck will be updated on ZTE Malaysia’s Facebook page. The ZTE Axon 7 is available for preorders starting today at Lazada and will be sold at RM1,999, the phone is only available in Ion Gold colour at this point of time while the Quartz Grey color will make its way here in October 2016, the first 30 customers to preorder the ZTE Axon 7 will receive a ZTE VR headset worth RM399, you know where to spend your pay check now.
