And we thought ZTE will be going against the tide. The company previously launched the Axon M, a dual screen smartphone which is unlike any other. But it looks like the full screen smartphone trend is inevitable, and ZTE has hopped onto the bandwagon, by prematurely unveiling the ZTE Blade V9 smartphone with an 18:9 display.

Spotted on ZTE’s Spanish website which has since been taken down, we can safely assume that ZTE intended for the Blade V9 to launch at CES 2018, since the Blade V8 series was unveiled at the 2017 tech convention. Regardless, we already have the specs of the Blade V9. First of all, it will feature a glass build which looks sleep and glossy, but easily smudged by fingerprints as well. The phone sports a 5.7-inch Full HD+ display at 18:9 aspect ratio. ZTE has trimmed the bezels surrounding the displays, which means moving the fingerprint sensor to the back.

The Blade V9 is powered by a Snapdragon 450 processor with 2, 3 or 4GB of RAM. The memory is coupled with 16GB, 32GB and 64GB of storage spaces respectively, meaning that there are 3 variants in total. It has a dual rear camera setup of 16MP + 5MP and a 13MP selfie camera. The handset packs a battery of 3,200mAh, but unfortunately comes with a micro USB port. It will however run Android Oreo out of the box.

The ZTE Blade V9 will likely make an appearance at CES 2018 with its pricing and availability to be revealed some time later.
