Google has announced that YouTube TV will be getting a dedicated experience for your TV. It will release as an Apple TV app but it will also come to smart TVs for LG, Samsung and Sony. Previously, the only way to get this premium movie and series streaming platform is by using a Chromecast but now it has become more open to other users.
A new Live guide in the app will show users what is airing soon and you will be able to navigate the interface using a Siri Remote, traditional TV remote or a game controller. YouTube TV will be first launching on Android TVs and sets that have Android TV built-in, the Xbox One devices will also be the first devices to get this service. After the release on the mentioned platforms, the app will reach Apple TV as well as smart TVs from LG, Samsung and Sony.
Unlike the YouTube we all love, this new service will have a free trial period which after users will have to pay $35 a month to continue using the system. The service is only still available in the US, but seeing as how Netflix and Iflix are the biggest players in the video streaming industry here, YouTube might make its move to come to our shores to try their hand at our market.
