You might soon be able to log in to Windows 10 using your Google account

Aside from Apple, Google has one of the best ecosystems out there where one account will give you access to all the features that Google offers. Now it looks like that ecosystem will be extended to Windows 10.

Chrome Story spotted a code commit that will allow users to log in to Windows 10 using Google accounts. However, don’t get too excited just yet as this feature was designed with G Suite customers in mind. The code commit shows the Google Credential Provider for Windows which allows Windows to accept third-party credentials aside from using Outlook. There is also word that users can download an executable file that will enable this login feature after a reboot.

The benefits of using your Google account to log in is still unknown and there is no indicator on when this update will be available to everyone.
