Bendable screens have been showcased countless times over the past few years. However, most of them only appear to be concepts or prototype and we could only hope that they would arrive to consumers like us in the near future. However, a Bloomberg report tells us that we might be looking at two new bendable/foldable phones by the Korean manufacturer as soon as early 2017.
The report by Bloomberg indicates that the first device will be able to fold into a more compact form factor while the second Samsung device will be a 5-inch display smartphone, that can unfurl into a tablet display size of 8 inches. These devices are worked under a project codenamed Project Valley. Project Valley is said to take the competition between elite Apple and Samsung to the next level. The iPhone 7 is expected to sport an OLED screen for the first time, and is rumored to have a dual-camera setup on its Plus model.
Apart from improving figures in the specs sheet, it seems like Project Valley is the next step to take to revolutionize smartphones again. Samsung popularized curve edged screen smartphones when it first released the Galaxy Note Edge back in November 2014. The Project Valley phones might make an appearance as early as MWC 2017 at Barcelona, according to the report.
