The “KONFEM 4G LTE” data add-on lets customers enjoy unlimited data for RM30 for 30 days with a speed throttle of 4 Mbps, and if you want the network’s full 4G speed, you will need to purchase the “KONFEM TURBO” add-on, which gives you 5GB of unthrottled data at RM5 daily.
The introduction of this plan is obviously a direct response to U Mobile’s GX30 prepaid plan, which is a prepaid plan that offers unlimited data with a capped speed of 3 Mbps. Yes 4G seems to be advantageous here, as it offers 1 Mbps faster speed than its competing plan, while allowing you to enable high speed data should you really need it.
Furthermore, a quick check at the coverage page at the telco’s website reveals that its 4G coverage has spanned across many populated areas in East Malaysia, and have already covered most parts of Peninsular Malaysia.
