The Xiaomi Mi Band 4 is one of, if not the, most popular budget fitness trackers – part of the reason for its success comes down to its value proposition; it packed a host of useful features for less than RM200.

But if you think that’s not cheap enough, then you’re in luck – the company is apparently set to introduce an even cheaper variant of the Mi Band 4 called the Xiaomi Mi Band 4C. We’re not sure what the ‘C’ stands for, but we’re guessing ‘Cheap’ is the answer.

According to leakster Xiaomishka, the upcoming fitness tracker shares the same model number as the existing Redmi Band that was launched in China and Europe earlier this month. It packs a 1.08-inch rectangular display with a 128×220 resolution. On top of that, it also has a heart rate monitor and comes equipped with 5ATM water resistance.

There are also five built-in sports tracking modes but no GPS. Its battery will apparently also last 14 days on a full charge and will charge via a USB port, so no need to fiddle with priority magnetic chargers here.

Its global launch is expected to happen soon, and will most likely cost more than the Redmi Band, which is priced from 99 Yuan (RM60.95), now that’s affordable. But we’re also guessing that Malaysia will get the variant with all the bells and whistles, expect NFC, and will be a bit more expensive; since the regular Mi Band 4 costs RM149; the Mi Band 4C could be priced around the ball park of RM90-RM100.
