Xiaomi is launching its BlackShark gaming phone today, the phone is the company’s first gaming phone to be launch under its sub-brand, BlackShark. The phone is set to go against the other gaming phones like the Razer Phone and comes with high-end specs to meet all the current-gen gaming needs.
The BlackShark comes with a rugged looking design which might not cater to a lot of people but fits the identity of a gaming phone. Based on a hands-on video that leaked yesterday, the phone comes with a dual-camera setup on the back alongside a flash. On the front, shows a rather large screen and based on its AnTuTu benchmarks, it comes with an OLED FHD+ display and a fingerprint sensor on the front. There are also obvious bezels on the top and bottom of the phone, presumably to give users a place to grip the phone without touching the screen.
We already know that the phone will come with the latest Snapdragon 845 processor, 8GB of RAM and 32GB of storage based on its Geekbench results but it might come with other storage variants as well. However, during the live stream, they also mentioned that the phone has a PixelWorks video display processor, which offers ten times improvement in colour accuracy and offers an always-on HDR experience. It also supports 1 billion colours, giving you richer colours and it offers sharper images thanks to its image rendering technology.
The BlackShark gaming phone will go on sale starting April 20, we are not sure if this phone will come to Malaysia, but we might see some phone vendors bringing the phone in, similar to what they did with the Razer Phone.
