Recent rumours circling around Xiaomi is about the mysterious 48MP camera phone that has yet to be revealed but now, it seems like the Redmi Pro 2 might be the Xiaomi smartphone to house the 48MP main sensor.
The Redmi Pro 2 is expected to launch in January, and according to leaks and speculations, this may also be the first Xiaomi smartphone to come with the punch-hole display that was already seen on Honor View 20, Samsung Galaxy A8s and Huawei Nova 4.
The Redmi Pro 2 will also be shipping with a Snapdragon 675 chipset which was recently launched in October and said to be able to offer great gaming, camera and AI performance. The Redmi Pro 2 is expected to be much better than the Redmi Pro that was powered by MTK chipset.
As for the camera, the phone is expected to come with either a dual or triple rear camera setup as it would be a waste to use a single 48MP lens on the phone without at least a depth sensor. Other speculations include a 6.4-inch display, a glass back, and a lower price tag considering that it’s using a midrange chipset.
As other information has yet to be revealed, we can only wait as more information is leaked as it gets closer to the launch day of the phone.
