With only 6 days till Xiaomi’s launch of the Mi 6, the company has released a teaser video on its official Weibo account. In typical Xiaomi fashion, this teaser video marks the start of a series of videos leading to the Mi 6’s official unveiling on the 19th of April. Like many of Xiaomi’s teaser videos, the actors in this teaser video were dressed in traditional Chinese outfits in an ancient setting.
The video starred two local Chinese comedian favorites as prisoner and probably an emperor laying down the law. The teaser video doesn’t seem to make much sense for the most part, even more so confusing if you happen to be a non-Mandarin speaker. Long story short, the only takeaway from this latest teaser by Xiaomi is that the Mi 6 will feature a dual camera setup.
According to recent rumors, it seems that only the Mi 6 Plus will sport the dual cam configuration whereas the smaller Mi 6 will go with a 19MP rear shooter instead. Xiaomi’s hint in the teaser video could mean that either one or both the rumored Mi 6 handsets will pack two cameras on the back. Nevertheless, we will be expecting Xiaomi to drop more hints as we draw closer to the Mi 6 launch.
