Xiaomi Redmi Note 9S launched in Malaysia from RM799 with Snapdragon 720G and 5,020mAh battery

The Xiaomi Redmi Note 9S has been launched globally, and the same device as the Redmi Note 9 Pro in India.

The display here is a sizeable 6.67-inch FHD+ panel that has HDR10 certification. It’s also got a punch hole camera in the centre. Both the front and back panel comes equipped with Corning Gorilla Glass 5.

Over on the back, you get a quad 48MP camera setup alongside an 8MP ultrawide lens, a 5MP macro lens, and a 2MP depth sensor. For selfies, you get a 16MP front shooter. For videos, the phone is capable of 4K videography at 30fps.

Under the hood, there’s a Snapdragon 720G gaming chipset alongside 6GB RAM and up to 128GB internal storage, which can be expanded via a microSD card of up to 512GB.

Powering the phone is a large 5,020mAh batter with support of up to 18W of fast charging, while a 22.5W charger comes in the box.

The Redmi Note 9S is avalable in Glacier White, Interstellar Gray and Aurora Blue. The 4GB+64GB variant is available for RM799; while the 6GB+128GB model is priced at RM899. The lower-end variant is only available on Xiaomi’s official Lazada and Shopee pages. The higher end model will be available across all channels. On March 27, you stand a chance to buy the 4GB variant for RM699 on Lazada if you manage to unlock a RM100 voucher on that day.
