The Redmi Note 11 series was launched in its native China last month, bringing with it a host of impressive features for a midrange device.
The series offers decent value for devices that cost less than RM1,500, so we aren’t surprised if you want one for yourself. The catch is, global variants of the Redmi 11 series may actually be quite different from its Chinese counterparts – and this may be a good thing.
Under the hood is purportedly a more powerful Snapdragon 778G and Snapdragon 695 for the Redmi Note 11 Pro and Redmi Note 11 respectively. Meaning, gone are the Dimensity 810 5G and Dimensity 920 5G chipsets.
With this change, there could be a chance that the global variants of the smartphones could be priced a little bit higher. Snapdragon chipsets are generally more premium options compared to MediaTek.
Elsewhere, we can other features to remain unchanged including the AMOLED display, 108MP camera, and 120W of fast charging on the Redmi Note 11 Pro.
