Redmi Note 11 series launched with 108MP camera, and 120W of fast charging

The Redmi Note 11 series is now official and it comes packed with plenty of premium features, while costing less than RM1,300.

The Redmi Note 11 has a 6.6-inch LCD panel with 90Hz refresh rate. Under the hood is a MediaTek Dimensity 810 5G chipset, along with a vapor chamber cooling system for heat dissipation.

The Redmi Note 11 Pro comes with a slightly larger 6.67-inch display – but this time, you get an AMOLED panel which will offer better colours and image clarity. There’s 120Hz refresh rate support and HDR10.

Under the hood is a beefier Dimensity 920 5G chipset – it’s comparable with the Snapdragon 855, so the Note 11 Pro can offer pretty good performance.

For imaging, the regular Note 11 runs a 50MP+8MP system, plus a 16MP selfie shooter. The camera module on the device looks like it houses four lenses, but the other two are non-functioning units for aesthetic purposes.

The Note 11 Pro packs a 108MP system instead and you get an 8MP ultrawide, plus 2MP telephoto lens alongside it.

The Note 11 packs a large 5,000mAh battery and support for 33W of fast charging, and the Note 11 Pro comes a 5,160mAh battery with 67W of fast charging.

Rounding off the Note 11 series is the priciest model in the lineup – the Note 11 Pro Plus. Like the Note 11 Pro, it comes with a Dimensity 920 chipset, a 6.67-inch 120Hz display, and the same 108MP camera setup.

What sets it apart from its sibling is its support for 120W of fast charging – which is advertised to be able to charge the phone’s 4,500mAh’s battery in just 15 minutes.

In terms of pricing – the Note 11 starts at CNY1,199 (about RM777); the Note 11 Pro at CNY1,599 (RM1,036); and the Note 11 Pro Plus at CNY1,999 (RM1,296). There’s no word on when it’ll arrive in Malaysia yet.

However, POCO has confirmed that the M4 Pro 5G will be launching this November 9 – and reports suggest it will be a rebadge of one of the Redmi Note 11 smartphones. Perhaps it’s the POCO M4 Pro 5G that we’ll be getting here in Malaysia.
