Just two hours ago, Xiaomi Malaysia posted on its Facebook that it’ll be giving away 10 units of the new Redmi smartphone, supposedly the Redmi 9 Power.
Giveaway poster reveals familiar design
The Redmi 9 Power has been launched in several other countries, but not Malaysia. It will probably launched in January as Xiaomi’s Facebook post mentioned that the contest period will end on January 7. We expect this phone to be the Redmi 9 Power as it shares a similar rear camera design. We should be expecting this budget phone from Xiaomi to come with a 6.53-inch LCD display paired with a Snapdragon 662 chipset and run on Android 10. It should also have 4GB of RAM paired with 64/128GB of storage, but it’s possible for the storage configuration to differ in the Malaysian market.
Redmi 9 Power will be packed with a huge battery
Apart from that, this phone will come with a 48MP quad camera setup paired with an 8MP selfie shooter. It’ll sport a pair of stereo speakers and also have a headphone jack. It’ll also house a 6,000mAh battery that supports 18W fast charging via a USB-C port. GSMArena reported that the phone comes in Mighty Black, Fiery Red, Electric Green and Blazing Blue, but we’re not sure if all colour variants will be available locally.
