We recently covered news of the Xiaomi Mi 9T Pro’s availability and price via Mobile2Go and Shopee. Now Xiaomi has officially introduced the Xiaomi MI 9T Pro in the country, confirming previous reports. The phone is pretty much a cross between the Mi 9T and the Mi 9.
Just to cut to the chase, the Xiaomi Mi 9T will be available for purchase this August 30 and will be priced at RM1,599 for the 6GB+64GB and RM1,799 for the 6GB+128GB variant. You’ll be able to get the phone in Carbn Black, Flame Red and Glacier Blue. The Pearl White will only be available for the 64GB variant at authorised Mi stores only.
Unlike it’s smaller sibling, the Mi 9T Pro is equipped with a Snapdragon 855 processor, making it a flagship, like the regular Mi 9. You’ll also get 6GB RAM with up to 128GB internal storage. This makes it similar to the Xiaomi Mi 9.
It’s got a 6.39-inch AMOLED display with a 91.9% screen-to-body ratio. This is made possible of course thanks to the phone’s pop-up selfie camera. So no notches here.
Speaking of cameras, you get a 48MP main lens with a 13MP ultrawide-angle lens and a 8MP telephoto lens. The selfie shooter is a respectable 20MP shooter.
Powering the phone is a 4,000mAh battery, and charges via 27W fast charge – however, only an 18W charger will be provided.
The phone will be available for purchase on Lazada and Shopee as well as all authorized Mi stores nationwide. For more information on the phone, visit Xiaomi’s website here.
