Xiaomi to launch Mi Mix 2 on September 11

September is an exciting month for the smartphone industry, as Xiaomi has sent out invites to the media teasing the launch of its upcoming bezel-less smartphone on September 11 – the Mi Mix 2, the image states Full Screen 2.0 (translated from Chinese), and claims that this will be the next evolution of bezel-less smartphones.

Xiaomi’s Mi Mix has received an overwhelming response when the company announced as a concept phone designed by designer Philippe Starck, the Mi Mix unfortunately never had the opportunity to be sold officially here, and Xiaomi has limited sales of the Mi Mix in China citing mass production issues.

The Xiaomi Mi Mix 2 is expect to bring an even more aggressive bezel-less design, as the Mi Mix currently already has a 91.3% screen to body ratio, we are going to expect that figure to increase. Other speculations of the Mi Mix 2’s hardware include a Snapdragon 835 processor, 128GB of storage, an improved 12-megapixel Sony IMX386 main camera, and a 3400mAh battery.

As the day draws closer, we expect to see more leaks of the Mi Mix 2’s render, after all new smartphones are no longer secretive these days.
