Other than unveiling the Mi MIX 2S, Xiaomi surprised us by introducing their first gaming laptop simply called the Mi Gaming Laptop. It features a similar design as the Mi Notebook Pro which we saw during their Mi MIX 2 event but comes with great specs that will cater to games and editing work as well.
The laptop comes with a brushed aluminium chassis with visually no branding on the lid of the laptop. If you take a look at it, it might not look like a gaming laptop at first glance. It has a 15.6-inch FHD panel and comes with powerful hardware like the Core i7-7700QH processor, Nvidia GeForce GTX 1060 graphics card, 16GB of RAM, 256GB SSD coupled with a 1TB hard drive. There is also a lower spec version that comes with a GTX 1050TI, 8GB of RAM and 128GB SSD alongside a 1TB hard drive.
Nothing screams gaming like an RGB keyboard which the laptop has and four programmable keys. As for I/O, it comes with four USB 3.0 ports, two USB Type-C ports, an HDMI port and a 3.5mm headphone jack with a high-powered amp. The laptop also supports Dolby Atmos and comes with two fans with a 3+2 design for the heat pipe and four air outlets to keep things cool even with high-intence gaming.
The Mi Gaming Laptop will be on sale starting April 13 with a price of 8999 Yuan (RM5560.77) for the GTX1060 variant and the GTX 1050Ti will be priced at 5999 Yuan (RM3706.97), making both laptops very affordable for its price and specs that it offers.
