Xiaomi Malaysia has officially announced the price of the Mi A2 variants today. This phone is the second generation Mi phones that come with stock Android and the second time they are collaborating with Google to offer a pure Android experience on a Mi phone.
As a recap, the phones come with a 5.99-inch FHD+ display, Snapdragon 845 processor, 4GB or 6GB of RAM alongside 64GB or 128GB of internal storage, which overall is very decent specs for a mid-range phone. Xiaomi has also worked hard on the camera with the determination of designing the A2 cameras so it would vastly surpass the previous A1 cameras. The back houses a 12MP+20MP sensors while the front houses an impressive 20MP sensors. Powering all the hardware is a 3,000mAh battery which supports QuickCharge 3.0, however, you will need to purchase a separate charging adaptor that supports QuickCharge, as the charging adaptor in the box does not support QuickCharge.
The Mi A2 will be available starting 3rd August 2018 and will cost RM999 for the 4GB RAM 64GB storage variant while the 6GB RAM, 128GB storage variant will cost RM1199. If you still feel that the price is not up to your expectations, you can visit the Xiaomi Official Store in KLCC on 4th August and purchase these phones for an early bird price.
The Xiaomi Mi A2 Lite will also arrive in Malaysia but at a later date of 18 August 2018. It is a cheaper variant of the Mi A2 and with that, they included a Snapdragon 625 processor, 3GB of RAM and 32GB of storage alongside a 5.84-inch screen. But the battery is larger as it comes with a 4,000mAh battery but does not support QuickCharge. When available, the phone will retail for RM699.
