We reported last week that Windows 11 has finally receive a major update that runs Android apps along with other updated features, and Microsoft has just published a support article detailing the minimum system requirements you need in order to run Android apps on your PC.

As you would have already known, Windows 11 requires at least an 8th Gen Intel processor or AMD Ryzen 3000 series processor to run properly, and to run Android apps, Microsoft requires that you have at least the mentioned processors along with minimum 8GB RAM and solid state drive of any sizes, you will also need to have virtualization turned on for your system which can be enabled on your system’s BIOS settings.

Once you are all set, make sure you install the cumulative update KB5010414 from Windows Update and install the Amazon Appstore from the Microsoft Store, you will also need to have an Amazon account and set your region to United States (English) to get access to over 1000 apps on the Amazon AppStore.

If you prefer, you can also sideload APKs manually as this is a system-wide update that enables running Android apps supported by Intel Bridge Technology, hence you are not limited to just apps on the Amazon AppStore if you want to install other Android apps.
