WhatsApp is constantly bringing new features, and soon there will be a feature known as “Ignore archived chats”.
Currently, the feature is still not available because it’s currently under development and will need more improvements before it can be released. The upcoming feature was first named “Vacation Mode” before it’s renamed as “Ignored archived chats”.
As of now, archived chats can still resurface when there’s a new message, which automatically unarchive it. However, with the new feature, archived chats can remain archived even when there are new messages. This feature can be enabled in user’s WhatsApp Notification Settings when it is finally available.
That aside, there will also be a new Archived cell that shows all the chats that have been archived. The ignored archived chats will also be placed at the same cell, so it’ll be easier for users to see all their archived chats at once.
