WhatsApp is finally introducing a feature that they’ve previously mentioned on their blog regarding group chat invitations.

WhatsApp users have more control over who can invite them to group conversations, and this can be done through the Settings in WhatsApp. When you tap on Account > Privacy > Groups, you can choose who’s allowed to invite you into groups. As of now, there are three choices: “Everyone”, “My Contacts” or “My contacts except…”. Those who doesn’t want to receive random invitation should definitely skip the first option.

If you select “My contacts except…”, then you can basically blacklist individuals who you don’t want to receive any invitation from.

This new feature will be rolling out to both Android and iOS users soon, so if you haven’t update your WhatsApp, now would be a good time.
