Western Digital has introduced a new and powerful Gaming SSD with NVMe performance that is made to maximize the experience for gamers. The Western Digital Black 3D NVMe SSD comes with the company’s own SSD architecture and controller.

WD has said that the drive is able to accelerate data for PC applications, allowing users to quickly access, engage and capture the current high-resolution video audio and gaming content. As gaming is moving into the 4K UHD era, these new SSDs will eliminate storage bottleneck and allow for a smoother transfer of big data sizes. Thanks to all these advancements, it allows for a sequential read of up to 3,400MB/s for 1TB and 500GB models and wite speeds of up to 2,800MB/s for the 1TB model. In addition to that, it also features up to 500,000 random-read IOPs for the 1TB model, making it ideal for data-intensive multitasking environments.

The Western Digital Black 3D NVMe SSD will be available in Malaysia towards the end of July 2018. The 250GB will cost RM449, 500GB at RM799 and 1TB at RM1,599, these drives will be available at selected Western Digital retailers, e-tailers, resellers, system integrators and distributors globally.
