Waze version 4.0 lands on Android

Five months ago, Waze rolled out version 4.0 of its navigation app on the iOS. Today, Waze version 4.0 is now officially available on all Android devices.

So what’s new with Waze in version 4.0? Well, for starters, it now an improved interface that significantly reduces the amount of clutter on screen that Waze previously has. The new design that Waze sports allows you to set your destination in as few taps as possible, allowing you to focus on the road instead of messing around with the app on your smartphone.

Also new to version 4.0 is the ETA panel that shows you alternate routes, allowing you to check if there is a faster way to reach your destination. Waze also has a Smart Reminder feature that informs you of your Google Calendar events and informs you when to leave based on traffic conditions and drive times.

Finally, Waze version 4.0 has significantly reduced battery consumption, allowing you to use your phone after you reach your destination.
