Volkswagen Passenger Cars Malaysia unveiled three new models the new Beetle, Vento ALLSTAR and Vento GT with the Beetle and the special edition models currently on display in MidValley Megamall from 24 to 28 may 2017. Erick Winter, Managing Director said that the cars were launched to give a wider array of products in time for the Raya festivities.
The New Beetle
This is the latest version of the iconic Beetle with new updates such as 2-zone Climatronic air-conditioning system, composition media with touch screen display with App-Connect, leather trim “Vienna” seats with front seat lumbar support, bi-xenon headlamps and LED daytime running lights. Under the hood the car has a 1.2L turbocharged TSI engine with an output of 105PS, 7-speed automatic transmission DSG with a maximum torque of 175Nm.
The Beetle will come in Pure White, Tornado Red, Blue Silk, Dark Bronze, Habanero Orange, White Sliver and will come in two variants, the Design and Sport priced at RM136,888 and RM147,888 respectively.
Vento ALLSTAR
Being the second ALLSTAR edition introduced with the Polo ALLSTAR being the first, this car is equipped with the new MY VW Drive App, giving more convenience to the driver such as fuel consumption tracking, allowing the app to enhance the drive keeping the driver safe and in-control. Opening the hood you will find a 1.6L MPI engine, paired with a 6-speed automatic transmission gearbox and Tiptronic function, giving the car an output of 105PS, maximum torque of 153Nm and fuel consumption of 6.5L per 100KM.
The Vento ALLSTAR will come in Reflex Sliver an Candy White as well as RM7000 worth of accessories such as leather seats, aluminum sports pedals, rear spoiler, black door strips and trunk garnish, ‘ALLSTAR’ scuff plates, emblems and carpet mats. It will retail for RM78,888.
Vento GT
The Vento GT is powered with the award-winning 1.2L turbocharged direct injection TSI engine with an output of 105PS, pairing with the 7-speed automatic transmission DSG for a maximum torque of 175Mn. On the fuel side, you will see the car going for 5.5L per 100KM and was awarded the Compact Car of the Year at the 2016 Malaysia Car of the Year ceremony.
The Vento GT comes in Reflex Sliver and Candy White and RM9,000 worth of accessories such as “Satin” black roof and exterior mirror wraps, black door strips and trunk garnish, leather seats, aluminum sports pedals, GT Aerokit, ‘GT’ scuff plates, emblems and carpet mats. The Vento GT will retail for RM89,888.
