Yesterday, vivo had launched their latest smartphones in their S series with the vivo S12 and S12 Pro. These phones come with up to a 50 MP dual front camera, 108MP main camera, and 4,300mAh battery, but how do the rest of the specifications compare? Let’s find out.
The triple camera system on both phones, gives you a 108MP main shooter, an 8MP ultrawide lens, and a 2MP portrait lens, but where they differ is that the vivo S12 has a 44MP front camera, while the Pro variant comes with a 50MP front camera, however, both phones do also have an 8MP ultrawide front lens.
The vivo S12 includes a 6.44-inch FHD+ AMOLED display that pushes a 90Hz refresh rate and has a touch sampling rate of 180Hz. While the S12 Pro has a 6.56-inch FHD+ AMOLED display that has a 90Hz refresh rate and a touch sampling rate of 240Hz.
As for the internal specifications of the phones, the vivo S12 uses a Dimensity 1100, while the S12 Pro has a Dimensity 1200 SoC, and both phones have up to 12GB of RAM and 256GB of internal storage. In terms of the battery, the S12 has a 4200mAh battery, and the S12 Pro uses a 4,300mAh battery, both of which support 44W fast charging via a USB-C.
Currently, the vivo S12 is priced at CNY 2,799 (roughly RM1849) for the 8GB RAM and 256GB internal storage variant, and CNY 2,999 (roughly RM1,981) for the 12GB RAM and 256GB internal storage option. Meanwhile, the vivo S12 Pro starts at CNY 3,399 (roughly RM2,245) for the base model that gives you 8GB of RAM and 256GB of internal storage, and CNY3,699 for the 12GB RAM and 256GB internal storage variant. Both phones are also available in three colors – Gold, Blue, and Black.
