Vivo has been striving to achieve ideal selfie smartphones for some time now. The Chinese manufacturer is well known for pushing extra megapixels to its front facing shooters, and it has continued to do so with the Vivo X9s lineup.
The lineup consists of the Vivo X9s and the Vivo X9s Plus, the latter sporting a larger form factor for obvious reasons. The Vivo X9s features a 5.5-inch display on the front, whereas the X9s Plus has a larger 5.85-inch screen. Both displays have the same Full HD resolution. Underneath the hood, you’ll find other subtle differences, with the X9s powered by a Snapdragon 652 processor and the X9s Plus running on a Snapdragon 653 chipset, both with 4GB of RAM and 64GB of internal storage.
Both the Vivo X9s and the X9s Plus have impressive on paper sounding dual front camera setups. The dual camera configuration consists of a 20MP and a 5MP sensor, which are the same on both devices. The rear camera sounds like a standard affair at 16 megapixels. As far as battery goes, the regular X9s packs a 3,320mAh battery while its larger sibling has a 4,015mAh battery.
Both phones can be considered as “high end” mid range handsets, considering their spec sheets. The Vivo X9s costs CNY 2,698 (RM 1,704.27) while the Plus variant will set you back CNY 2,998 (RM 1,893.78).
