Vivo iQOO Neo goes official with Snapdragon 845 SoC and massive 4500mAh battery

Vivo’s iQOO sub-brand introduced its first smartphone in March this year, simply dubbed Vivo iQOO. As promised, the brand has now released its second Android smartphone, which is called iQOO Neo. The newer model isn’t as impressive as the Vivo iQOO in terms of hardware specs, which makes it a lot more affordable.

The iQOO Neo has a 6.38-inch OLED display panel that comes with an under-display fingerprint scanner, touch acceleration, and Full HD+ resolution. Instead of the Snapdragon 855 chipset on the Vivo iQOO, the iQOO Neo runs a liquid-cooled Snapdragon 845 chipset instead. Moving on to memory, the phone will be available in 6GB + 64GB and 8GB + 128GB storage variants.

It has a triple-camera array on the back with a 12MP primary sensor, 8MP wide-angle snapper, and a 2MP depth sensor. The front-facing camera on the iQOO Neo is also a 12MP unit paired with an f/2.0 aperture. Fueling the internals of the phone is a massive 4500mAh non-removable battery with 22.5W fast charging support. Some of the key gaming-focused features on offer include 4D Smart Shock 2.0 and Multi-Turbo technology.

The Vivo iQOO Neo will be available in Black and Purple color options for a starting price of CNY 1,798 (RM1,084) for the base 6GB + 64GB storage variant. On the other hand, the top-end 8GB + 128GB variant has been priced at CNY 2,298 (RM1,385) in China. The phone will be available via Vivo’s online store as well as major Chinese e-commerce platforms starting from July 8, which is when the first flash sale is scheduled to be held.
