Remember MediaTek’s Helio X30 processor? The company’s deca-core (10-core) processor will be making its way to Barcelona next week as Chinese-based Vernee will be showing off the first phone to sport said processor at MWC 2017.

The phone in question is the Apollo 2, and the teaser image found on Vernee’s website reveals that the phone will come in either 6GB RAM – 64GB storage or 8GB RAM – 128GB storage variants. Both configurations will be sporting the Helio X30 processor, MediaTek’s 10-core processor that was manufactured using a 10nm manufacturing process.

As we’ve reported earlier, the MediaTek Helio X30 processor consists of three clusters of cores. The first cluster consists of four Cortex A73 cores that have a clockspeed of 2.8GHz, the second cluster consists of four Cortex A53 cores that have a clockspeed of 2.2GHz, while the third cluster consists of two Cortex A35 cores that have a clockspeed of 2.0GHz. Alongside the cores, the Helio X30 processor will also come with a PowerVR 7XT GPU.

Other specifications for the Apollo 2, such as the display, battery and camera, have yet to be revealed. Nevertheless, the presence of the Helio X30 inside the Apollo 2 makes this smartphone one to look out for.
