We can safely say that infinity displays on smartphones aren’t as unique as they used to be at the beginning of 2017. We now see more and more companies implementing near bezel-less displays on their respective smartphones. ZTE’s subsidiary Nubia seems to be the next in line to launch a 2:1 aspect ratio display smartphone.
Nubia has previously unveiled its Z17 flagship, which had its spec sheet maxed out – a Snapdragon 835 processor, up to 8GB of RAM, dual 12MP + 23MP cameras and a 16MP selfie camera. A render has been spotted online of a new and upcoming Nubia smartphone, which will reportedly feature a near bezel-less front display.
The new Nubia handset is said to have an even higher screen to body ratio compared to the Mi MIX 2. The design in the render resembles that of the Samsung Galaxy S8, and it is also tipped to sport the same 18:9.5 display aspect ratio as Samsung’s flagship. The screen is seen to have curved edges as well. On the back is a vertical dual camera setup, along with a rear fingerprint sensor.
We are likely in the early stages of this unknown Nubia smartphone. Given its track record with the Nubia Z17, we could expect something big from this company when it launches the bezel-less smartphone in the future.
