It’s not every day we get smartphone ads that don’t take itself too seriously nowadays – and it’s a sight for sore eyes when something like this comes along; the Ulefone Armor X7 is supposedly built as sturdy as a rock and the company released a video to demonstrate.
The last time we tried something like this, we destroyed the phone – a Samsung Galaxy S10+ mind you:
Anyways, in Ulefone’s video we see someone abuse the device by dropping a hammer on the device, peppering it with knife cuts, drilling it with an electric drill and more. This was all done on the display itself and the smartphone looks to have come out unscathed.
Despite its tough exterior, the phone doesn’t look all that impressive when talking about specs – you get a 5-inch 720p LCD display, a MediaTek Helio A20 chipset, 2GB RAM and 16GB of expandable storage. Dated hardware to say the least, but at least it comes shipped with the latest Android 10 though. For imaging it has a decent 13MP shooter and a 5MP selfie camera.
This phone is very obviously meant for outgoing people who ride ATVs and jump out of aeroplanes. If anything, this phone is there to either document their stunts or call emergency services when things go south.
