After scoring a big win to build Malaysia’s 2nd 5G network, U Mobile has unveiled a disruptive family postpaid plan that costs RM128/month, the U Family 128 plan offers 1000GB of shareable data,15GB of international roaming data and free incoming calls in 63 countries that can be shared between four lines, not to mention unlimited calls to all local networks.
The U Family 128 is essentially an extension of the telco’s U Postpaid 98 plan, which customers will no longer need to pay for additional lines that costs RM38/month, and if you do the math, each line will only cost RM32/month excluding SST, which is really attractive.
Do note that the 1000GB local and 15GB roaming data is basically a data pool that’s shared between all four numbers, so if any of your supplementary lines use up the data, you will need to purchase addons to continue using the service.
In addition, customers who signed up for U Family 128 are eligible to receive free 5G phones worth up to RM3299 with a contract, though this should only be limited to one line.
