Toshiba has announced the Portege X30 and Tecra X40 to the market which brings elegantly engineered laptops that proved premium, powerful and secure experiences for professionals, complete with a sleek and light-weight design. The notebooks come after the recently launched hybrid 2-in-1 Portege X20W and come with Windows 10 Pro coupled with a magnesium chassis and hybrid cooling technology, powered by Intel’s 7th gen processors.
Both notebooks have built-in shock absorption and a unique honeycomb reinforcement of higher durability and come with Anti-Glare screens, optional In-Cell Touch Technology, giving more ways to interact with the screen. It also comes with a backlit keyboard and keycaps that have been enlarged slightly for a more comfortable use. Toshiba also understands the importance of security and have added both biometric and optional facial authentication technologies with a fingerprint sensor built directly into the touchpad. To add on, Toshiba has added in their own BIOS which can remove the risk of third party interference that could leave the device vulnerable to attacks.
With fast PCIe SSD and DDR4 memory, it supports broadband speed up to 33 percent quicker than its DDR3 predecessor and both notebooks will offer a premium audio experience thanks to Karman Kardon stereo speakers and DTS Sound software. To ensure that work can be done anywhere, both come with advanced connectivity capabilities that include compatibility with a range of dongles for different uses and it is also designed to be used with a Thunderbolt 3 Dock that can provide power, data transfers and host a range of display ports as well as modern ports to give more flexibility. This includes two USB-C ports, full-size USB3.0 port, HDMI port and a microSD slot.
Both the Portege X30 and Tecra X40 will come with standard 3-year International Limited Warranty and will be available across Asia from July 2017.
