We don’t usually pay attention to entry level spectrum in the smartphone planet, but admittedly, LG has happened to grab our attention, and the company has no doubt made some heads turn with this new budget Android smartphone in partnership with US major carrier T-Mobile’s subsidiary Metro PCS. As a result, the LG Aristo was born, along with a $59 (RM263.29 price tag. What should we expect from such a lowly priced smartphone then?

Both LG And Metro PCS has proven that budget handsets still play a part in the smartphone industry, and the LG Aristo is the perfect example. Sporting a 5-inch 720p HD TFT display up front, we wouldn’t expect any better from LG at this price point. Underneath the hood is also fairly decent Snapdragon 425 processor clocked at 1.4 GHz, with 1.5GB of RAM, 16GB of onboard storage and a memory card expansion for up to a further 32GB.

The LG Aristo features a standard 13MP/5MP rear and front camera package, which won’t be impressive, but gets the job done nonetheless. The handset also packs a rare removable battery, with a capacity of 2,410mAh. LG has also ensured that the phone won’t be lacking behind when it comes to software, hence the Aristo will be running on Android Nougat out of the box.

The LG Aristo is originally priced at $129 (RM575.66), but Metro PCS customers stateside will get a $70 rebate if they so desire to get an Aristo for themselves. What do you think of this budget device?
