The ZTE Axon 7 was launched earlier this year, putting up a good fight against flagships of the elite. The handset’s 2K resolution display and its front firing speakers were its best selling points, factoring in the affordable price tag as well. The Chinese manufacturer will be unveiling a limited edition Axon 7 today, along with a handful of upgrades from the standard variant.

First off, the limited edition ZTE Axon 7 will feature Force Touch technology on its display on the front. The display panel is still an AMOLED panel, at 5.5-inches and QHD resolution. Underneath the hood, the handset still rocks the same Snapdragon 820 processor instead of the newer Snapdragon 821. RAM and storage on the other hand have been upgraded respectively. The limited edition Axon 7 sees a bump up in RAM from 4GB to 6GB, joining the likes of the OnePlus 3/3T, and storage has also been doubled to 128GB from 64GB.

The rest of the specs remain the same from the standard Axon 7. The camera department consists of a 20MP rear facing shooter, with a selfie camera of 8 megapixels on the front. It will aalso sport the same 3,250mAh battery with Quick Charge 3.0 support and a rear fingerprint sensor. ZTE also retains the front facing speakers, which is possibly the most attractive feature of the phone itself.

As far as pricing goes, the ZTE Axon 7 limited edition will set you back an extra $100 (RM441.65), making it $499.98 (RM2208.14). This handset will also only be available in the Ion Gold variant. Will more RAM and double the storage convince you to get an upgrade?
