The Xiaomi Redmi Note 4X has been rumored for some time now, and it is probably Xiaomi’s Valentine’s Day device, given the fact that the company has finally given the phone an official release in conjunction with the season of romance. The Redmi Note 4X has finally been unveiled at Xiaomi’s homeland China, and it does not differ much from its predecessor, the Redmi Note 4.
At first glance, it would be nearly impossible to differentiate between the Redmi Note 4X and the Redmi Note 4, both launched only months apart. Both phones look similar, but the Redmi Note 4X is a hair thicker than the Redmi Note 4, however the former is a tad lighter than the latter. Design wise, they are very much identical. On the front is a 2.5D glass display measuring at 5.5-inches at Full HD 1080p resolution. Underneath the hood is where the most notable difference is discovered – a Snapdragon 625 processor instead of a MediaTek Helio X20 chipset. Alongside that are 3GB of RAM and 32GB of internal storage, though Xiaomi has claimed to launch a 4GB RAM/64GB storage model pretty soon. The Redmi Note 4X features a 13MP rear PDAF camera with f/2.0 aperture, coupled with a wide angle front facing selfie shooter of 5 megapixels.
The Redmi Note 4X still sports the same 4,100mAh battery, and unfortunately still uses micro USB for charging. Disappointingly, the phone runs on the aging Android Marshmallow software. The Redmi Note 4X comes with a price tag of CNY 999 (RM646.13), and has a Hatsune Miku model that comes bundled with a Hatsune Miku themed phone case and a power bank. The bundle costs CNY 1,299 (RM840.16) and should get significant reception from Anime fans. What do you think?
