The long awaited and rumored Galaxy C9 Pro has finally been launched by Samsung. This announcement comes more than a week after CES 2017 at Las Vegas. Like most of Samsung’s C series smartphones, the Galaxy C9 Pro is a Chinese exclusive device, and the phablet features some specs which are to be noted for a mid ranger.

First of all, the Samsung Galaxy C9 Pro sports Samsung’s own signature Super AMOLED display on the front, measuring at 5.7-inches in Full HD resolution. The phablet operates on a Qualcomm Snapdragon 626 chipset with 4GB of RAM, meeting, if not surpassing today’s standards of a mid range smartphone. The phone comes with an internal storage of 64GB and supports up to a further 256GB via the micro SD card slot.

Camera wise, the Galaxy C9 Pro is definitely not a letdown, packing 16MP cameras each on the front and rear side of the device. Both shooters are equipped with apertures of f/1.9 for better light capturing, ideal for shots under low light conditions. Keeping the handset powered is a 3,300mAh battery underneath the hood. The phone unfortunately, will still be running on Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow out of the box instead of the more current Android Nougat.

The Samsung Galaxy C9 Pro will be available in Gold, Rose Gold and Blue colors. Pricing has yet to be revealed, and the phablet will most likely remain as a China exclusive for the foreseeable future.
