In its launch event today, OPPO has revealed the next OPPO Reno series, the Reno2 and Reno2 F.
The Reno2 features a 6.5-inch AMOLED display made with Corning Gorilla Glass 6 and has a 1080p resolution with 93.1% screen-to-body ratio. While maintaining the signature shark fin design, the Reno2 has a curved body design with a glossy, multi-toned finish that offers different shades of colour from different angles.
Under the hood, the Reno2 is powered by a Snapdragon 730G chipset paired with gaming features like Game Space, Touch Boost 2.0 and Frame Boost 2.0. It also comes with 8GB RAM coupled with 256GB storage, and ships with ColorOS 6.1 on top of Android 9 Pie. To further enhance the gaming experience, the device also houses a 4,000mAh battery that supports VOOC Flash Charge 3.0.
The OPPO Reno2 also comes with a 48MP quad camera setup. Its 48MP main lens uses the Sony IMX586 sensor and features both OIS and EIS because OPPO is prioritising videography this time, leading it to create the Reno2 with amazing video stabilisation. In addition to that, the phone also sports a 13MP telephoto lens, an 8MP ultra wide angle lens and a 2MP mono lens. The device not only has a Ultra Steady mode for video recordings with impressive stabilisation, but also supports 5x Hybrid Zoom and 20x Digital Zoom. You’ll also get a 16MP selfie camera which allows you to take video recording with bokeh effect using the front camera.
Apart from the Reno2, OPPO also unveiled the Reno2 F, another family member of the Reno series. The Reno2 F also sports a 6.5-inch AMOLED screen but uses Corning Gorilla Glass 5 (instead of 6) and has the more common pop-up selfie camera. Powered by a MediaTek P70 processor, the device has 8GB RAM and 128GB storage while still getting a 4,000mAh battery with VOOC Flash Charge 3.0.
The Reno2 F also comes with a 48MP quad camera, but instead of a 13MP telephoto sensor, the device gets a 2MP depth sensor. With Ultra Night Mode 2.0, the device is reported to offer great lowlight shots as it has MNFR technology and HDR imaging. Meanwhile, the 16MP front camera has atmosphere light that indicates selfie timers and AI Beauty Mode.
The Reno2 is available in Sunset Pink and Luminous Black at the price of RM2,299 while the Reno2 F is available in Sky White and Lake Green at the price of RM1,599. These devices can be pre-ordered from today till October 25 at OPPO Concept Stores, OPPO official dealer stores, OPPO’s online store on its official site, e-commerce partners’ store such as Lazada and Shopee, and OPPO chain store partners (Senheng, senQ, DirectD).
