Apple is finally introducing new processors and graphics cards to its iMac range, enhancing the performance of its iMacs.
The 21.5-inch iMac now comes with a 3.6GHz quad-core 8th-generation Intel Core i3 or a 3.0GHz 6-core 8th-generation Intel Core i5 processor, while the 27-inch iMac features up to 9th-generation eight-core Intel processor. Both iMacs are said to have faster performance, meaning that gaming and video gaming will be more efficient.
With the new update, the 21.5-inch iMac now comes with a Radeon Pro 555X or Radeon Pro 560X graphics card by default. On the other hand, the 27-inch iMac starts with a Radeon Pro 570X, 575X and 580X cards, but you can opt for a Radeon Pro Vega 48 which will set you back an additional RM1,980. Promising to deliver up to 50% faster graphics performance, the Vega 48 is a great option to consider for those who struggles with heavy graphics workload.
Needless to say, Apple products always come with premium pricing. The new 21.5-inch iMac will require you to fork out at least RM5,599 while the new 27-inch iMac start from RM7,699. If you choose to purchase the highest configuration model of the 27-inch iMac, along with its Magic Mouse 2 and Magic Trackpad 2, that’ll be worth RM23,268.
