Despite it being a mid ranger, the Samsung Galaxy C5 has been leaked countless times , from “official” renders to “official” specs, we’re glad that the news is official for real this time.
Starting it off, listing out its specs might bore those of you who have been following earlier leaks and rumors about the mid range handset. Looks wise, as mentioned before, the Galaxy C5 features a metal unibody, picking up design cues from the likes of the HTC One series and Apple’s iPhones. The handset is offered in Gold, Pink Gold, Silver and Gray options. On the front is a 5.2-inch 1080p AMOLED display panel. Internally, the Galaxy C5 is powered by a Snapdragon 617 SoC with 4GB of RAM and 32GB or 64GB storage options, expandable via micro SD.
On the camera side of things, we’re looking at a 16MP and 8MP rear and front cameras respectively. The device packs a modest 2,600mAh battery, which will be sufficient considering the Galaxy C5’s overall horsepower. Also, not forgetting, a fingerprint sensor is embedded in the physical home button on the front, a common feature in most mid range smartphones and above.
The Galaxy C5 is only available within China for the time being. The 32GB model carries a price tag of 2,199 CNY (RM1,364.10) and the 64GB variant comes priced at 2,399 CNY (RM1,488.17). Mid range smartphones seem to be catching up on flagship models lately. What do you think?
