BLU continues its focus on the mid range and entry level device spectrum competition, and the company couldn’t really care about what’s happening on the elite side of the market, hence it launched another handset, which sports specs pretty close to what you see on high end smartphones these days. With the Pure XL launched last year, BLU has announced the Pure XR to continue its strive in the consumer market.
Metal bodies are the in thing, especially among mid range smartphones for a premium touch, and the BLU Pure XR didn’t fall short of that standard. Though the overall design seems very typical, we can’t say that a metal built handset would disappoint. On the front, the Super AMOLED display stands at 5.5-inches in 1080p resolution. Protected with Gorilla Glass 3, the display appears to support 3D Touch functionality. Under the hood is a 64-bit Octa-Core Mediatek Helio P10 processor clocked at 2.0GHz, 4GB of RAM and 64GB of internal storage expandable via micro SD.
The Pure XR sports a 16MP rear PDAF camera with a 6P lens at an impressive f/1.8 aperture, coupled with a wide angle selfie camera of 8MP at the front. The handset features a USB Type-C port, packs a 3,000mAh battery and will be running Android 6.0 Marshmallow out of the box. The US-exclusive BLU Pure XR comes in Gold and Gray color options at a price tag of $299.99 (RM1211.34). Seems like a good buy for what the device offers. What do you think?
