The Apple AirPods have been delayed indefinitely

Remember the Apple AirPods? Those wireless earphones that Apple introduced back during the iPhone 7 reveal event may not be coming so soon after all as Apple has released a statement saying the the AirPods have been delayed indefinitely.

Originally scheduled for a late October release, Apple has stated that the AirPods “needs a little more time” before the devices are ready. “The early response to AirPods has been incredible. We don’t believe in shipping a product before it’s ready,” the Apple statement reads.

Unfortunately, Apple did not give a timeline as to when the AirPods will be made available. With the holiday season approaching, it is probably safe to say that Apple is aiming to launch the wireless earbuds before then. In the meantime, iPhone 7 users will have to make do with the headphone jack adapter. For those who are impatient, you could always stalk the AirPod’s product page in hopes that Apple updates the release date.
