Nasim Sdn Bhd, the official distributor and custodian of the Peugeot brand in Malaysia has just launched the All-New Peugeot 5008 SUV. A modern SUV that offers users a combination of status, sophisticated technology, impressive practically and driving emotions.
The Peugeot 5008 SUV transitions from its MPV predecessor and comes with an expressive 7-seater SUV in the C-segment. The SUV refreshes the segment with a blend of space and practicality of an MPV and the dynamic appeal of an SUV. It might sound like a huge vehicle, but it is only 4,641mm long and 1,844mm wide, making it only 11cm longer than its predecessor but it is still roomier for passengers.
The rear has a raized body line and chromed roof arc trim finish that gives more aerodynamic design profile that is complemented by Peugeot’s signature three-claw LED rear lights. The Peugeot 5008 comes with 18-inch alloy Los Angeles wheels with a two-tone diamond finish and stainless steel roof and black wheel arches. Similar to the 308 and 3008 SUV, the 5008 SUV features the Efficient Modular Platform that gives the SUV balance between mass, strength and functionality. This totals up the weight of the car to only 1,385kg.
In the interior, the main attraction is its i-Cockpit which offers the driver a high-end driving experience. It comes with a completely redesigned compact steering wheel, 8-inch multifunction colour touchscreen and a 12.3-inch high-resolution Digital Head-Up Cluster Display that shows the speedometer, odometer, trip-computer and more with great graphics, elegant animations and pleasing transitions from one mode to another. Other than that, it also has a central satin chrome Toggle Switches for quick access to the main passenger comfort and safety.
Other than that, it also supports Android Auto, Apple Carplay and Mirrorlink connectivity, auto electric parking brake, automatic dual zone air-conditioning, reverse camera with 3 view settings, six speakers with 3D Arkamys sound staging system, driver seat lumbar and height adjustments and flexible 8-way electric driver seat with memory settings.
Passengers will feel comfortable in the vehicle as it comes with premium leather seats for everyone and offers five angles of inclination. The third row of two extra seats can be folded down and tucked away behind the third-row seats.
As for performance, the 5008 SUV comes with a 1.6 Turbo THP engine which offers users fuel efficiency of 7.3 litres for 100 km and CO2 emissions as low as 133g/km. The Peugeot 5008 SUV comes in four distinctive colours of Emerald Crystal, Amazonite Gray, Nera Black and Pearlescent White. The 5008 SUV is now displaying in showrooms nationwide and will be priced at RM173,888.
