Perhaps more well-known for their TV panels, TCL reckons they can compete in the smart-eyewear market as well with the launch of the Thunderbird Smart Glasses Pioneer Edition.
The device packs micro-LED displays – each pixel only measures 4 µm in size, and according to a report by GSM Arena, TCL has managed to allow the glasses to show full-colour images as opposed to monochrome ones like on Xiaomi’s Smart Glasses.
As expected of a pair of smart glasses – the Thunderbird will allow wearers to read notifications and news, check schedules, and control smart home devices all through the device itself.
We don’t know how much these glasses will cost, but considering the TCL NxtWear – the brand’s other wearable display – cost 899 AUD (about RM2,774); so we can expect the Thunderbird to demand a higher price since it packs better hardware.
