TCL announces NXTPAPER: A Full HD paper-like display technology

TCL introduced the next display technology called the NXTPAPER — an upgraded solution from the colour e-ink display.

According to GizmoChina, TCL used a highly reflective screen and its own display technology that reuses natural light to create the NXTPAPER. This resulted in a better display with a wider colour palette and a faster screen refresh rate.

TCL NXTPAPER is better than E-Ink

This display also has a thinner panel, higher contrast and better battery consumption that makes it desirable for larger-screen devices. TCL has already included the NXTPAPER display in two of its upcoming tablets — the TCL 10 TABMAX and 10 TABMID. The former has a 10.36-inch display while the latter has an 8-inch screen.

The TCL tablets will be available for sale by the end of the year, pushing FHD resolution on a paper-like display without harmful blue light and flicker.
