Spotify Premium Family’s new update includes Family Mix and parental controls

Spotify Premium Family is getting an update that will include a long-requested feature — parental controls.

Spotify Premium Family is similar to Spotify Premium, except that it supports six accounts instead of one. However, the new update will offer more features for the family plan. Families will get an extra feature known as Family Mix — a personalised playlist that includes the family members’ favourite songs so you can share your music together.

Parental controls can be accessed through Family Hub, where billing users can also manage their settings such as adding/removing family members and updating their home address. Parents can choose to switch on the Explicit Content Filter that will ensure that the music their children listen to doesn’t have violent or mature elements.

Spotify announced that the update is already available in Ireland and will slowly roll out in the coming months. You can download Spotify on Play Store and App Store.
