Spotify might be releasing their very first hardware soon

Last year, Spotify posted up a job listing looking for a person that had hardware experience and the job description indicated that the person would be working on “a category-defining produce akin to Pebble Watch, Amazon Echo and Snap Spectacles.” The second job description was for a Product Manager of Voice which both together, indicated that they are working on a new hardware which will use voice commands.

Sadly, Spotify did not share any information on what they were going to produce, until recently. The company once again posted up a job listing for an Operations Manager, Senior Project Manager: Hardware Production and a Project Manager: Hardware Production and Engineering which shows that they seem to be done with the planning stage and are moving on to developing a prototype or even a full on release of their new product.

We are still not sure what they are planning to release, and it’s even more of a mystery as they mentioned Amazon Echo, Pebble Watch and Snap Spectacles, which all have their own separate purpose. Let us know what are your assumptions about what they are developing.
